Suffolk NYCLU Adopts Resolution on Verification of Electronic Voting Machines

Suffolk County, New York: Last week, on November 25, 2003, the Suffolk NYCLU adopted the following resolution:

Resolved that the Suffolk County Chapter of the New York Civil Liberties Union opposes the use of electronic voting machines which do not provide paper verification of votes for the voters; and it is

Further Resolved that the Suffolk County Chapter of the New York Civil Liberties Union urges the New York Civil Liberties Union and the American Civil Liberties Union to take appropriate steps opposing the use of electronic voting machines which do not provide paper verification of votes for the voters.
